Crews Resume Search For Swimmer Missing On Wolverine Lake

COMMERCE TWP. (WWJ) – The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department plans to send divers back to Wolverine Lake Saturday to resume the search for a missing swimmer.

Rescue crews were sent to the lake in Commerce Township around 4:30 p.m. Friday after boaters noticed a man calling for help. By the time they arrived on the scene, the man had already disappeared into the water.

The search was later suspended because of stormy weather.

The victim is believed to be a 62-year-old man from the metro Detroit area.
