MCWT Sets High School Web Site Design Competition

SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) -- The Michigan Council of Women in Technology will be hosting its eighth annual website design competition for southeast Michigan high school girls.

This year's theme is "Ancestors: OMG!", which encourages creativity, thoughtfulness, and a little research.

Students will create a website revealing funny, historical or unique surprises about three of their ancestors. These surprises may be shocking, funny, historical or unique. If a contestant prefers, she may create a website using someone else's ancestors.

To enter, complete the registration form at www.mcwt.org/Web_Design_Competition_186.html. A sponsoring teacher must be named. Choose the beginner or advanced category, choose to compete as an individual or as a two-girl team, and email the registration form to barbkalb@mcwt.org. There's also an optional Oct. 12 Training Day at Davenport University in Livonia.
