Trouble Brewing: Beer Thieves Target Ferndale

FERNDALE (WWJ) – Ferndale police are looking for help from the public to track down some beer bandits.

Police say thieves targeted two downtown Ferndale bars three times in three days during the late night or early morning hours.

According to investigators, the suspects broke into outdoor coolers in the patio area of Como’s — a popular Woodward Avenue pizza joint — on Monday, and Orchid — a dance club on 9 Mile Road — on both Friday and Monday.

In all three instances, beer was taken.

There have been no arrests and police have not released descriptions of any suspects.

Anyone with information regarding these thefts is asked to call the Ferndale Police Department at 248-541-3650.
