Leach's Lists: DTM's Bagels & Lox Week 2 NFL

By Dan Leach   Follow Dan @DTMLEACH

As the NFL season heats up so does the DTM Prediction machine, which will be here for you each and every week to help you win your pick-em-pool, embarrass your friends, and just become a more whole football fan and human being. I will take a look at five games each week with the best value and rate them on a sliding "Bagels and Lox" 1-10 scale. Let the fun begin........

DALLAS AT KANSAS CITY 1PM EST TV FOX (KC -3)

The Boys finally got past the Giants in Big D and look like they have an offense that is going to be hard to stop. The Chiefs already look like a different team with Andy Reid at the helm and Alex Smith behind center, but their win over the Jags is a little misleading considering Jacksonville is simply atrocious. The Cowboys will be able to move the ball with much more ease against a good, but not great Chiefs D and I look for the Cowboys WR's to get a lot of separation against an undersized KC secondary.

MIAMI AT INDIANAPOLIS 1 PM EST TV CBS (INDY -2)

Both teams had nice opening week wins. The Fins looked solid on the road against a solid Browns D and the Colts had to come back against a gutsy Raiders team that will be much better this year then many expected. I really like Miami QB Ryan Tannehill and the addition of Mike Wallace should help him in the long run with the absence of Reggie Bush. I like Colts QB Andrew "Pot" Luck even more and think the Colts D is vastly underrated and will keep Miami at bay on the turf at Lucas Oil Stadium.

SAN FRANCISCO AT SEATTLE 8:30 EST SUN NIGHT TV NBC (SEATTLE -3)

This is one of the best rivalries going in the NFL right now and their opening game of 2013 should be no different then both meetings last season,. Hard hitting, super loud, and full of drama. Colin Kaepernick is simply sensational , but the man on the other side Russell Wilson might be even better and has been unreal at CenturyLink Field and was a huge part of the Hawks 42-13 beat-down of S.F late last season. The Niners are my pick to get to NY and SB 48 out of the NFC , but on Sunday night Seattle is going to show why they have just as good of a chance to be Super this season.

WASHINGTON AT GREEN BAY 1PM EST TV FOX (CURRENT LINE G.B -7)

The Skins could not have looked any worse in the first half last week against the Igles. They looked like a completely different team in the second half as they stormed back against Philly and played like the team that won the NFC East instead of a pathetic Pop Warner squad. Green Bay flexed their offensive muscle by the Bay in their loss to the Niners so the scoreboard could be lit up in the one. I had concerns about how healthy RG3 would be for the Skins, but he answered all those questions and then some and he will take advantage of an overrated Packers D. Aaron Rodgers will have his moments and the Pack likely will win outright, but this game is going to go down to the wire at worst and I see a huge games out of RB Lord Alfred Morris and WR Pierre Garcon Garcon for the Skins.

DETROIT LIONS AT ARIZONA CARDINALS 4:05 PM EST TV FOX (LIONS -2)

Everyone knows the Lions have not won in the desert since 1993. That the Lions have not been what you would call road warriors over the past decade. That the Lions came into AZ last year after the Cards had been literally obliterated by Seattle the week before and got soul-crushed themselves by a horrid Arizona team. Well throw all that out in the trash cause this years Lions team is ending trends and mending fences. The Lions simply are a better team than Arizona and come in off a nice opening week one win over division mate Minnesota, but need to back it up with a road win over a team they should beat. The Cards might have a better QB in Carson Palmer then Ponder the Question in Minny, but the Lions have by far more balance on all sides of the ball then AZ. Look for Reggie Bush to continue his hot start and for Matt Stafford to spread the ball around to a plethora of receivers. Lions will win this one going away.
