Pontiac Dad Arraigned In Connection With The Death Of His Son

PONTIAC (WWJ) - A Pontiac man has been arraigned in the death of his baby, who was left in a car on the north side of Pontiac.

Henry Ogene, the 46-year-old father, has been charged with "child abuse-leaving a child in a vehicle resulting in death."

Ogene allegedly left his 16-month-old son in a vehicle on Savannah Street while his wife was at work.

The medical examiner ruled the death a homicide - stating that the boy died of hypothermia.

Ogene's bond has been set at five-thousand dollars cash/surety and if he's able to post it, he must turn in his passport.

Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard has said Ogene was legally drunk and may have had narcotics in his system when this occurred.
