When you head out to Comerica Park, you no doubt will see your fair share of Tiger jerseys. Miguel Cabrera, Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer and Prince Fielder’s names are on the back of most fans and that is just for the active players that are on the team this season. You’ll also see Al Kaline, Alan Trammell, Lou Whitaker and Kirk Gibson jerseys too along with some very obscure Detroiters as well. Bottom line, when you go to a Tiger game, you’ll see all kind of Detroit jerseys and the current manager notices.

But does Jim Leyland see people wearing his jersey?

He really didn’t answer the above question, instead he told us of a Detroit related shirt that he needs to get his hands on very soon.

“I saw a girl in the stands with Leyland-Stash, I’d like to get one but I don’t know where the hell she got it” Leyland proclaimed!

I was intrigued! What was the skipper talking about? Was it a tee-shirt or a jersey? So I asked…

“It was a tee-shirt, an orange tee-shirt, it’s got Leyland’s stache, it’s got the mustache and I don’t know how to get this stuff” Leyland said.

When told that the shirt was probably not officially licensed, Leyland responded saying “I’m not sure about that but if it was I would like to get a little slice of the pie but I haven’t heard anybody offer me anything.”

Anybody know how to get the Leyland-Stache shirt? I’m sure the skipper could make it worth your while.
