Police Search For Hit-And-Run Driver Who Injured Bicyclist

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police in Detroit are looking for the hit-and-run driver who seriously injured a bicyclist near I-75.

Police say the incident occurred early Thursday morning on the I-75 service drive near Clay Street.

Sgt. Michael Woody said the bicyclist was lying on the ground when police arrived on the scene, but there was no sign of the driver.

Woody said investigators are checking with area businesses to see if anyone has surveillance video of the incident.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to contact them at 313-267-4600.
