WEST BLOOMFIELD (WWJ) - Need some relationship advice? Lucky for you “The Love Doctor” is in town, holding a special event in West Bloomfield on Saturday.

Relationship Dr. Terri Orbuch says it’s not hard work to have a good relationship it just takes consistent attention. Orbuch has been following 373 couples for 27 years and wrote two books, one about how to take a marriage from good to great and a second book about finding love again.

Orbuch said she’s defined five steps to a better marriage, but the first step is the most important.

“You tell your partner every single day that they’re special and that they’re noticed or you do something every single day so that your partner knows that they’re recognized,” Orbuch told WWJ’s Laura Bonnell.

Orbuch will be answering questions, sharing tips for Sweetest Day celebrations (October 19) and signing copies of her books on Sept. 21 from 12 until 2 p.m. at Lolly Ella Jewelry on Orchard Lake Road in West Bloomfield.
