CMU Board of Trustees Appoints Two Board Members to CMURC: The Central Michigan University board of trustees has appointed Jim Holton and Paul Murray to the board of directors of the Central Michigan University Research Corp. Holton is a Mt. Pleasant entrepreneur whose current businesses include Mountain Town Station Brewing Co & Steakhouse and Mt. Pleasant Brewing Co. He was mayor of Mt. Pleasant in 2009-10, president of the Mt. Pleasant Area Convention & Visitors Bureau and member of the Mt. Pleasant City Commission. Murray joined the firm of Robert F. Murray & Co. in 1973 and is now the firm's managing shareholder. His primary areas of focus are business valuation, mergers and acquisitions, litigation support, estate planning and advanced tax planning for individuals and businesses. He is a founding member and treasurer of the investor group Blue Water Angels, is on an advisory group for the Michigan Department of Treasury and is a past president and chair of the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce. CMURC is a nonprofit business incubator focused on advancing economic development in the community through the resources of Central Michigan University, the Mount Pleasant SmartZone and its local, regional and statewide partners. CMURC is a single source of contact providing physical space and essential business services that supports emerging businesses.

Clayton & McKervey's Dutkiewicz Elected President of the Association for Corporate Growth – Detroit Chapter: Rob Dutkiewicz, CPA, shareholder of Clayton & McKervey P.C.,, has been elected President of the Association for Corporate Growth Detroit chapter effective Sept. 1. ACG's Detroit Chapter was founded in 1954 and currently has 340 members including professionals from private equity firms, corporations, and lenders that invest in middle-market companies, as well as from law, accounting, investment banking, and other firms that provide advisory services. Dutkiewicz has served on the board and as program chairman for the chapter for the past four years and succeeds Scott Terryn of First Merit Bank as president.
