Several Arrested At Scene After Warren Cop Pinned Between Cars

WARREN (WWJ) - A Warren police officer is hospitalized... after responding to a crime scene overnight.

Police were called to reports of a fight at a home on Continental near Loraine. When police arrived at the home they say there were as many as five or six people fighting -- and one person had a gun.

That's when authorities say four of the suspects tried to take off ... and an officer was pinned between the suspect's vehicle and his police car. That officer fired off three shots at the vehicle ... the driver rushed away, but quickly crashed into a stop sign.

Police were able to arrest him. Four people were arrested in connection with a recent armed robbery.

The officer is hospitalized, but is expected to recover.
