FBI Seeks Help Identifying Serial Bank Robber

John Robert Shoup, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Detroit Field Office of the FBI, announced that the FBI and local police are seeking the help of the public in identifying a serial bank robber. This is a joint investigation between the FBI, Sterling Heights Police Department, Clinton Township Police Department, Imlay City Police Department, Lapeer County Sheriff Department and Auburn Hills Police Department.

The suspect is believed to have committed at least four robberies in the Detroit suburbs between August 30 and September 20, 2013. The robberies occurred in Sterling Heights, Clinton Township, Imlay City and Auburn Hills. In each of the robberies, the suspect entered the bank and presented a demand note to the victim teller. The suspect may have been driving a gray or silver SUV or sedan.

There is a $1,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of this individual. Members of the public should not try to apprehend this suspect. Anyone with information may contact the FBI 24 hours a day at (313)965-2323.
