Oakland County Man Dies Days After Head-On Crash

SPRINGFIELD TWP. (WWJ) – Police say a 57-year-old Oakland County man has died five days after he was involved in a head-on collision.

Thomas Michael Mclaughlin, of Groveland Township, died early Wednesday morning after being hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit at McLaren Hospital since the Sept. 20 crash.

Two other people were also injured in the crash, which happened around 8 p.m. last Friday at Andersonville and White Lake roads in Springfield Township.

Police say alcohol is suspected to be involved in the crash, but provided few other details.
