Man Wanted For ID Theft In 3 Counties

DETROIT (WWJ) - They say he's hijacked identities in three counties.

Federal investigators in Detroit are looking for help to find a man wanted on suspicion of aggravated identity theft.

According to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations, the suspect used the identities of several metro Detroit residents to withdraw cash from banks in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties.

The ID cards have been modified with his photo (seen at left).

The suspect is described as a slender black man in his mid to late 60s, about 6 feet tall, and 160 pounds. He sometimes wears glasses and walk with the assistance of a cane. The cane, however, is suspected to be a ruse.

Anyone with information on the man's whereabouts is asked to contact Homeland Security in Detroit at 313-226-0500 or the HSI Tip Line at 1-866-347-2423.  You can also submit a tip online at www.ICE.gov/tips.
