LAKE ORION (CBS Detroit) When is a beer not just a beer? When it’s handcrafted.
And there will be plenty of that on hand at the Michigan Brewers Oktoberfest, which happens 1-6 p.m. Saturday at Olde World Canterbury Village, 2369 Joslyn Court, Lake Orion.
Enjoy strolling German music, and the warm time with friends and food the Germans know as “gemutlichkeit.” Lederhosen not required.
Hopheads and craft beer novices will have the chance to sample from a selection of more than 100 craft beers and hard ciders, as well as special edition beers from Michigan breweries.
Want to learn more about what makes your favorite beer so delicious? Many of the brewers will be on site to answer questions and give demonstrations.
Tickets are $30 at Kroger, $35 online and $40 at the gate. Each admission includes 15 tickets for sampling craft beer. Additional sampling tickets will be available on-site for $2 each.
Everyone having a great time at the event is encouraged to use the Twitter hashtag #mibrewersoktoberfest.
