Oakland County Sheriff's Nab Suspect In Multiple Break-Ins

OAKLAND COUNTY (WWJ) - The Oakland County Sheriff's Office arrest a man suspected in multiple break-ins in Brandon and Independence Townships.

On September 24, a Pine Knob Road homeowner reported that a man rang his front doorbell, and attempted to open the door when no one answered. The homeowner yelled thru the door asking who he was looking for, to which he replied, "Brian."

He left after being told no Brian lived there.

The homeowner had trail cams set up and captured pictures of the subject and his vehicle. Because of recent area break-ins, a search began for the subject and his vehicle.

The next day the vehicle was located by a Sheriff's Deputy in the Brandon Trailer Park, and listed to twenty-seven year old Chadwick Adam Canter of Oxford Township, who also had a warrant out as a parole absconder.

His picture matched the trail cam pictures.

Officials say that there was evidence discovered at the suspect's home that matched items missing from the recent break-ins.

Canter was given a $25,000 cash surety ten percent bond at each arraignment with GPA tether and drug testing upon release.
