Unwanted Welcome For One Driver In Michigan

PORTER TOWNSHIP (WWJ) – What a welcome into Michigan!

Authorities say a southwestern Michigan man has was treated for injuries he received when he hit a “Welcome to Michigan” sign on his return from Indiana.

The Cass County sheriff’s department says 50-year-old Brad Martin of Vandalia lost control of his vehicle and struck the sign along Michigan 217 in Porter Township.

He has been released. The crash remains under investigation.
