Startup Weekend Returning To Lansing

LANSING (WWJ) -- Your ideas. One weekend. Tons of fun.

Startup Weekend Lansing is a place for designers, coders, business managers, startup enthusiasts, astronauts, and masons, who are eager to experience a 54 hour weekend like no other.

The partners and resources available to you over the course of the weekend provide you the tools you'll need to launch your next big idea.

The weekend will consist of pitching, business model creation, coding, designing and market validation. The weekend culminates with presentations in front of a panel of judges and an opportunity to win great prizes.

All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model: anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and teams organically form around the top ideas. All ideas, applications and platforms are welcome – remember that the sky is the limit.

The event will be kicked off with registration and presentations by organizers and sponsors followed by a quick pitch exercise with teams. Then the fun begins.

Attendees will have 1 minute to pitch ideas, audience votes, teams form, ideas turn into startups.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18 and ends at 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20.

The NEO Center is at 934 Clark St. in Lansing.
