Conpoto Announces Partnership With HoneyBaked Ham
HOLLAND (WWJ) -- 'Tis the season for corporate gifting, and thanks to a new partnership between Michigan-based technology startup Conpoto and the Michigan Divison of HoneyBaked Ham Co., businesses can easily treat employees and thank clients this holiday season.
What's more, with Conpoto, corporate holiday gifting becomes more budget-friendly, as businesses only pay for the holiday hams and turkeys that are redeemed.
Conpoto, which is Latin for "drink together," differs greatly from traditional gift card programs. Instead of being stored on a plastic card that can be lost or forgotten, the gift's information is stored in the cloud and accessed via the recipient's computer or smartphone. The system can even be set up to remind the recipient to use their gift or that they have funds remaining. For businesses that use Conpoto to gift employees and clients, the user-friendly process can translate into increased loyalty, sales and enhanced brand equity.
"Since we launched in 2011, many gifts sent through Conpoto have been thoughtful, but small rewards—a latte here, a microbrew there," said Matt Lepard, co-founder and CEO of Conpoto. "As we've continued to grow and with the holidays approaching, we're proud to announce that businesses can now send a variety of HoneyBaked ham and turkey products through Conpoto."
HoneyBaked is featuring its signature Quarter Hams, Turkey Breasts and gift cards via Conpoto.com. From the website or mobile app, company representatives can treat one or more people with their favorite menu items in just a few clicks.
"HoneyBaked Hams and Turkeys are a family tradition, and a long-time favorite for corporate gift-giving," said Wendy Becker, vice president of sales and marketing for the Michigan Division of the HoneyBaked Ham Co. "Our partnership with Conpoto sweetens the deal for businesses, giving them the convenience of online ordering and fulfillment without the spillage often associated with gift cards."
This opportunity is available through the Michigan division of HoneyBaked Ham, with retail stores in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Texas, Pennsylvania, Washington and Oklahoma.
Earlier this year, HoneyBaked worked with Conpoto to fulfill a national giveaway featured on Good Morning America. Conpoto fulfilled 63,000 unique treat deliveries using its closed-loop system, though The HoneyBaked Ham Company was only responsible for the 20 percent of treats redeemed. The experience prompted the Michigan Division to consider additional opportunities to leverage the gifting and promotions technology, resulting in this new partnership in time for the holiday season.
