DETROIT (WWJ) – A police chase that went from Grosse Pointe into Detroit ends with police shooting out a window of the suspect’s car.

Authorities say Grosse Pointe police tried to stop a vehicle Friday afternoon on Kercheval, but the suspect sped off.  As the suspects fled in the area of Greensboro and Haverhill Streets on Detroit’s eastside, the suspect tried to run over an officer.

That’s when police fired and shot out the vehicle’s back window.

Police report that the two people arrested after the chase are wanted in connection with a robbery at  Moosejaw Mountaineering Store.

Grosse Pointe police aren’t commenting at this time.  An investigation is ongoing to determine if a third suspect is still at large.
