DETROIT (WWJ) – Democratic Senator from Michigan Debbie Stabenow says she had bigger issues on her mind when she tweeted out a ‘big money’ message.

Monday afternoon Sen. Stabenow sent out this message:

Followed by ‏@stabenow  …

Given enough time and thought Stabenow sent out something more political in nature.

But that didn’t stop folks from retweeting and sharing their opinions about taxpayer $$$$ with the #pockettweet!

Stabenow, a powerful member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, isn’t the only member of Congress with an overactive phone. Mark Warner, a senator from Virginia, had earlier attempted to take the crown for the “first pocket tweet from the Senate floor” for a message he later deleted on October 16.

But he was roundly criticized in the Twitter-sphere for incorrectly laying claim to the title. Sen. Kelly  Ayotte (R-NH) had tweeted a dollar sign in April from the Senate floor.

She kept it light, later tweeting, “What happen$ when your phone i$ at the bottom of your pur$e?”
