AFSCME Attorney: Governor Is Being Evasive, Certainly Not Being Transparent

DETROIT (WWJ) - Governor Rick Snyder spent Monday afternoon in the hot-seat -- as he was grilled at Federal Court over everything from dates of one on one meetings to cuts over the city's retirees' pensions.

AFSCME's Attorney Ed McNeil says Governor Synder evoked his attorney client privilege a bit too much as the bankruptcy trial continued:

"This is the same governor who has talked about transparency months ago," said McNeil. "We get in front now where he has an opportunity as he is talking about to move the city forward and he's being evasive - certainly not being transparent."

McNeil says Govenor Snyder can't move forward because he failed to hold "good-faith" talks with creditors before the filing.
