Michigan St Faces Top Competition As Usual

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — As usual, Michigan State coach Tom Izzo, has put together a tough schedule to test his team.

The Spartans have four starters returning and six of their top seven scorers back from a team that won 27 games and advanced to the NCAA tournament’s round of 16.

Michigan State will play national championship contender Kentucky on Nov. 12 in Chicago and perennial power North Carolina on Dec. 4 at home. It will also play Virginia Tech, Oklahoma or Texas along with Texas.

The Spartans open the season with a Nov. 8 against McNeese State.
