TROY (WWJ) – Troy police are asking for the public’s help to find a “suspicious person” who attacked one woman in a park, and chased or harassed three others.
Over the past couple of weeks, four separate incidents have occurred in which an unknown young man has approached female residents.
In the first reported instance, earlier this month, a man asked a young girl if her parents were home; and then, a short time later, entered her house without permission. When confronted, he asked to use the restroom before fleeing.
Then, last Friday, a man fitting the same description came to a woman’s door asking for directions to Bloomer Park, which is in Rochester Hills. He then asked to use the bathroom but left when she told him no.
Less than two hours later, a woman exercising in Bloomer Park said the man asked her for directions before grabbing her and throwing her to the ground. The victim fought back and her attacker fled.
Police said that morning, another woman at Bloomer Park was approached by a man who asked her for directions. He later chased her down as she was jogging on a trail and then asked her where she parked.
The subject in all four incidents, occurred during the late morning to early afternoon hours, was described as a middle-eastern male, 20 to 22 years old with a middle-eastern accent.
He’s anywhere from 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall and clean-shaven, with thick, wavy, dark hair that’s longer on top, and short on the sides. He has a long, straight, pointy nose and a long scratch or scar on his right cheek.
The suspect has been seen wearing a black North Face jacket, black jogging pants with a white stripe, and white shoes.
His vehicle is a bright red, two-door “sporty” car, with chrome detailing and dark tinted windows.
Anyone with information on the identity of this man is asked to call the Troy Police Anonymous Tip Line at 248-524-0777
