Spartans No. 2, Wolverines No.7 In AP Preseason Poll

With the college basketball season just around the corner, the official preseason poll has Michigan State ranked at second in the nation, behind only Kentucky. Michigan starts the season at seventh.

The rest of the top ten is as follows:

1) Kentucky

2) Michigan State

3) Louisville

4) Duke

5) Kansas

6) Arizona

7) Michigan

8) Okla St

9) Syracuse

10) Florida

Members of a Big Ten media group voted unanimously that Michigan State will be the team to beat in the conference this season, followed closely by Michigan. Spartan sophomore Gary Harris has also been named preseason Big Ten Player of the Year. Harris was also named to the preseason All-Conference team along with Wolverines Glen Robinson III and Mitch McGary.
