Elderly Man Disappears On Way To Canada

ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - Police are asking the public for help in locating an 87-year-old Roseville man who vanished on his way to Canada.

William Schell was last seen by family members around noon Wednesday.

According to police, Schell was in the Port Huron area around 9 p.m. Thursday, at which time he advised that he was heading for Canada. However, police don't believe Schell ever made it across the border.

Relatives said it's extremely unusual for Schell to leave the area and not have contact with family members.

Police, who are investigating Schell's disappearance as a missing person, said there's no indication at this time that Schell is a victim of foul play.

Schell is described as 6'2" tall, about 160 lbs. with gray hair and glasses. He is believed to be driving a silver 2007 Dodge Caravan with Michigan license plate "BESCH1."

Anyone with information on Schell's whereabouts is asked to contact Roseville police at 586-775-2100.
