Red Wings 4, Calgary Flames 3

CALGARY, Alberta (AP) - Justin Abdelkader scored the winning goal with 3:24 left to help the Detroit Red Wings edge the Calgary Flames 4-3 on Friday night.

Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg each had a goal and an assist for the Red Wings (8-4-2), who were coming off a 2-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday. Tomas Tatar also scored, and Niklas Kronwall and Todd Bertuzzi both had two assists.

The Red Wings will continue their four-game trip through Western Canada on Saturday when they visit the Edmonton Oilers.

Chris Butler, Sean Monahan and Curtis Glencross scored for the Flames (5-6-2), who went 1-2 on a three-game homestand. Jiri Hudler finished with two assists.

Calgary will now head out on a four-game trip, starting on Sunday in Chicago and finishing with stops at Minnesota, St. Louis and Colorado.
