DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers today announced the club’s exhibition game schedule for 2014 Spring Training in Lakeland, Florida.

Next spring will mark the Tigers 78th season at TigerTown in Lakeland, extending the longest-standing relationship between a major league team and a current Spring Training host city.  The 2014 spring season marks the club’s 49th consecutive season of exhibition play at Joker Marchant Stadium.

The Tigers will begin the exhibition schedule on Tuesday, February 25 as the club plays host to Florida Southern College in the annual matchup against the Moccasins. The club opens the home portion of the Grapefruit League schedule against the Atlanta Braves at Joker Marchant Stadium on Thursday, February 27.

The schedule is highlighted by a visit from the New York Yankees on February 28, as well as three visits from the National League East Division Champion Atlanta Braves on February 27, March 25 and March 27, and a trip from the National League Champion St. Louis Cardinals on March 3. The schedule also features visits from the Pittsburgh Pirates (March 4), New York Mets (March 8) and Washington Nationals (March 14 and March 17).

Tickets for the 2014 spring exhibition season will be priced at three separate levels: Navy, Orange and White. Navy games will be held on February 28, March 3, March 17, March 25, March 27 and March 28. Orange contests will be on February 27, March 4, March 8, March 11, March 14, March 15, March 18 and March 23. White games will be played on February 25, March 1, March 6 and March 13.

Full season ticket packages for the 2014 Tigers Spring Training exhibition season go on sale beginning Monday, November 11 at the Joker Marchant Stadium ticket office, via phone at (863) 686-8075, or by visiting www.tigers.com. Fans may also purchase season ticket plans of five-or-more games by calling (863) 686-8075, or visiting tigers.com.
