DETROIT (WWJ) – Detroit authorities confirm that the baby who survived a cesarean delivery from a woman killed outside a Detroit house also has died.

The baby had been in critical condition but she was pronounced dead by the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Police say the 23-year-old mother of the child, Taeler Shaltry, and 25-year-old Brandon Webb, were killed by a gunman Sunday on the city’s west side.

Webb’s  75-year-old grandfather, Bertram Rutledge, was also critically wounded and remains in the hospital.

Police say no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detroit police.
