Detroit Thumps Michigan-Dearborn 106-51

DETROIT (AP) — Juwan Howard Jr. had his second double-double of the season on Monday night in Detroit's home opener, a 106-51 thumping of Michigan-Dearborn.

Detroit (1-1) had six players finish in double figures. Howard led the way with 22 points and 10 rebounds in just 21 minutes. Anton Wilson had a career-best 21 points on 8-of-9 shooting. All 10 Titans who appeared in the game scored.

Detroit never trailed in the game and built a 55-22 lead in the first half before Michigan-Dearborn's Jameel Strickland hit a jumper for a halftime score of 55-24.

The Titans dominated both sides of the court, shooting 52.3 percent from the field to go with 13 blocks and 14 steals.

Strickland and Gage Throgmorton did most of the scoring for the Wolverines. Strickland had 18 points and Throgmorton had 15.
