GVSU To Present ‘The Art Of Buying Or Selling A Business’: The practice of buying and selling a business is becoming more commonplace, but it is less common to be able to get experienced advice about the process. The Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center, housed at Grand Valley State University, is assembling an experienced team of experts November 20 to discuss the many aspects of purchasing or selling a business. The workshop will be held at Grand Valley’s Michigan Alternative and Renewable Energy Center in Muskegon. Speakers at the workshop include Chris Kelly and Will Meier, attorneys with Parmenter O’Toole; Michael Moraw and Lynette Griffin with Huntington Bank; Randy Rua, CBA and CEPA with Rua Associates; John Meyering, Keystone Partners LLC; and Dan Slate, CPA with H&S Companies. The event will run from 8 a.m. to noon Nov. 20 at MAREC, 200 Viridian Drive, Muskegon. The cost is $75, with veterans attending free. To register, visit http://www.misbtdc.org/training.
