Police Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Accident On 8 Mile Road
DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are investigating the cause of a fatal pedestrian accident Saturday night in Detroit.
The incident happened around 7 p.m. on 8 Mile and Schaeffer roads.
The female driver was going eastbound on 8 Mile and the male pedestrian was crossing southbound.
The man was hit and transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Detroit police say the driver remained at the scene and was fully cooperating with the investigation.
Police say there are no signs of alcohol being a factor and continue to investigate the incident.
