Pontiac Man Charged In Knifepoint Sex Assault On Teen Girl

PONTIAC (WWJ) - Authorities say fingerprints left at the scene led to the arrest of a Pontiac man now charged in the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.

Lonnie Walker, 40, was arraigned Wednesday on charges of first degree criminal sexual conduct, first degree home invasion, and sexual assault after he allegedly forced the teen to perform a sex act at knifepoint.

According to Oakland County Sheriff's officials, the attack occurred last Monday night at a home on the 1300 block of Galloway Circle.  That's when Walker allegedly came in through a living room window, sexually assaulted the teen, and then threatened the girl's aunt who had gone to check on her.

Based on fingerprints lifted at the window, the Sheriff's Forensic Lab was able identify the suspect via the Oakland County Automated Fingerprint Identification System.

Walker was taken into custody last week and arraigned Wednesday before Judge Ronda M. Fowlkes-Gross in 50th District Court.

Sheriff's officials say Walter, who has a lengthy criminal history, was out on parole for child abuse, assault, auto theft, and other charges at the time of the crime.

He's currently being held without bond in the Oakland County Jail, pending a pre-trial hearing set for Dec. 3 at 1:30 p.m.
