Snow Emergency Declared In Numerous Cities Throughout Metro Area

DETROIT (WWJ) - Numerous cities in metro Detroit have have declared snow emergencies.

If you live in any of these cities you have to get your cars or trucks off the roads so snow plows can do their work. Anyone who doesn't abide can get a ticket and/or their vehicles can be towed.

Those cities include Berkley, Dearborn, Eastpointe, Ferndale, Flatrock and Garden City.

The cities who have declared emergencies include:

BERKLEY

CANTON

DEARBORN

EASTPOINTE

FERNDALE

FLATROCK

GARDEN CITY

GROSSE POINTE FARMS

HAZEL PARK

LIVONIA

LINCOLN PARK

MADISON HEIGHTS

PLYMOUTH

REDFORD TWP

ROCKWOOD until 6 p.m. Monday

ROYAL OAK

SOUTHGATE

TAYLOR

TRENTON

WOODHAVEN

It's almost like riding along with the trucks! Check out this site to see where the county trucks are traveling. The trucks have a dashcam so that people can do virtual ride-alongs with the drivers.

If you have questions about whether your city in under a snow emergency you can go online to the City Hall office in your town or call your local police department - non-emergency number.
