DETROIT (AP) – A woman’s body has been found partially covered by snow outside a northwest Detroit home.

A resident reported finding the body about 6:20 a.m. Friday on her front lawn in the 17000 block of Ohio Street.

Police say the dead woman is believed to be 86-year-old Rosalind Brazil. Brazil’s caregiver told police she last saw her on Dec. 13 at Brazil’s home in the 17000 block of Cherrylawn.

Police say the caregiver told them Brazil was not at the home when she returned Monday. Cherrylawn is one street over from Ohio Street.

An autopsy is being performed by the Wayne County medical examiner’s office.
