Zombie Masquerade Party Set For New Year's Eve

They say whatever you're doing when the clock strikes midnight on New Year's Eve colors the rest of your year -- So you may or may not want to keep that in mind during this unique celebration.

Spurred by the tremendous success of zombie-themed movies and TV shows, The Quintessential Event Company is transforming the New Years Eve party scene this year with a zombie masquerade.

It's called "New Years Eats: The Rise of 2014" and it will be held from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Lafayette Grande in downtown Pontiac.

Organizers say it will "Combine the best amenities of a stellar New Years Eve Party with the pulse-pounding excitement of a Halloween-like masquerade."

It will feature DJ Nick Anderson, dancing, a lavish hors d'oeuvre buffet, an open bar, a champagne toast, a post-midnight breakfast buffet

It's also billed as a "highly memorable kickoff to the New Year," but that almost goes without saying.

Limited complimentary zombie makeup application will be offered to ticketholders beginning at 8 pm at the Lafayette Grande by metro Detroit makeup artists Trading Faces.

A $500 cash prize will be awarded for best costume.

"New Years Eats will be unlike any New Years Eve experience offered anywhere else in town," stated event organizer Bill Lonskey with The Quintessential Event Company. "Our guests are certain to remember this party for years to come."

Tickets to New Years Eats are $85 per person and can be purchased online at www.quevco.com/nye2013.html, on Facebook at www.facebook.com/newyearseats or by calling toll free (888) 504-8103.
