Worker In Novi Pulled To Safety After Trench Collapse

NOVI (WWJ) - A worker digging a trench line in Novi is recovering after he was nearly buried with dirt when the trench collapsed on Friday.

The incident happened on Beck Road, south of Nine Mile Road.

Officials say the 48-year old man had dirt up to his waist before he was pulled to safety.

He was taken to Botsford Hospital and is expected to be okay.
