The funeral will be held Tuesday at the Mother of God Chaldean Catholic Church on Berg Road in Southfield.

Lossia was the victim in an apparent robbery attempt which took place on Saturday.

The 59-year-old owner was discovered by a customer.

Police Chief Chuck Nebus tells WWJ Newsradio 950 that they are still searching for the suspect in the shooting.

“The description that we have right now is a black male, who is late teens, early 20s, tall, thin wearing a green jacket and may have left the scene on foot here,”  Nebus said.

Kenneth Johnson, who lives nearby, says he went into the party store every day.

“It’s terrible, it’s a sad day in our community; sad to see someone who would have gave you the shirt off his back – to go. It’ll just never be the same around here,” said Johnson.
