Client Wins From Dec. 20 - Jan. 5

Two Medical Schools Implement EMPOWER Student Information System: Bingham Farms-based ComSpec International Inc. said its Empower Student Information System has been implemented by the new Western Michigan University School of Medicine and the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. ComSpec says Empower can be used by itself or as a front-end supplement to a university-wide system to meet the special needs of medical schools. WMU will welcome its inaugural class of students this fall. At SIU, Empower will manage several hundred medical students. Empower manages recruitment, admissions, records and registration, degree audit, billing, financial aid, alumni relations and more. The company offers Empower as a license or a software as a service, and includes implementation, training, conversion, support, maintenance and ongoing updates. More at  www.empowersis.com, WMU's medical school was founded by an anonymous $100 million gift, and includes clinics on the school's Oakland Drive Campus and a seven-story, 350,000-square-foot building in downtown Kalamazoo.
