Pontiac Man Behind Bars In Fatal Stabbing

WATERFORD (WWJ) - A 52-year-old Pontiac man is expected to be charged with murder in a New Year's night killing.

Police said a 43-year-old Clarkston man was stabbed, just before 11 p.m. Wednesday, at a home in the 7000 block of Ida Terrace in Waterford.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he died a short time later.

The alleged stabber fled the scene, but, after a brief search, police found him in the area of Telegraph and Dixie Highway.

He was arrested and remained jailed on Thursday, awaiting formal charges. Waterford police said the case would be submitted to the Oakland County Prosecutors Office on Friday.
