Court Dates Set For Man Accused In The Rape Of 7-Year-Old Child

ROCHESTER HILLS (WWJ) – The man accused of raping a child appeared in an Oakland County courtroom Tuesday.

The hearing set up dates for future court appearances for the 35-year-old man accused of raping a 7-year-old child, the daughter of his live-in girlfriend, reports WWJ’s Stephanie Davis.

Matthew McBee stood handcuffed, shackled and chained at the waist wearing Oakland County jail garb at the hearing at 52nd District Court in Rochester Hills.

“It would be premature to comment on of the substance of this case … however I can only be mindful that as of now, he is presumed innocent and we have a lot of work to do on the case,” said Pamela Johnson, McBee’s attorney.

McBee remains behind bars on a $500,000 bond.
