Grammy Nominee Faith Evans To Perform At Halftime Vs. New Orleans On January 24

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – The Detroit Pistons announced today that Grammy Award winning R&B artist Faith Evans will perform during halftime of the Detroit Pistons game versus New Orleans next Friday, January 24 at The Palace of Auburn Hills.  Evans is scheduled to appear at the annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles as a nominee for "R&B Album of the Year" on January 26, two days following her appearance in Detroit.

"We are pleased to announce Faith Evans as the halftime entertainment for our game vs. New Orleans on Friday, January 24," said Harlan Hendrickson, Vice President of Marketing for Palace Sports & Entertainment and the Pistons.  "Friday Night Out is an exciting night for basketball fans at The Palace and we look forward to a great halftime show from Faith and our entertainment teams."

Evans, a singer-songwriter, record producer, occasional actress and author, won a Grammy Award with Diddy in 1998 for Best Rap Performance By A Duo or Group for their song "I'll Be Missing You."  The song received worldwide success, debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and triggered a video that won Best R&B Video at the MTV Music Awards and Outstanding R&B Video at the Soul Train Awards.

Evans has delivered five studio albums in her music career and has been nominated for six Grammy Awards.  Her most current album "R&B Divas" was released in October 2012.
