Some of the fancier plays in all of sports come from hockey. That is no different here. The Red Wings Justin Abdelkader made one of the better assists you will see in the sport.

After a shot from Henrik Zetterberg went wide, the puck bounced off the boards, that’s when Abdelkader got creative — after getting his stick knocked out of his hands by Marian Hossa.

Abdelkader kicked the puck to his teammate Patrick Eaves who wristed a shot over the glove hand of Blackhawks goalie Crawford to tie the game at 2. Check out the goal and assist!
