Westland Mayor Among Dozens Meeting With White House To Address Innovative Ideas For City Leaders

WESTLAND (WWJ) - Westland Mayor, Bill Wild among the dozens of Mayors who met with President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden at the White House Friday.

"The President is kind of looking across the nation to mayors that are doing innovative things and trying to bring some of that local innovation to the federal level," said Wild.

"We've talked a lot about the shared services we are doing in the city of Westland."

Mayor Wild says he and others also talked to the president about the need for more federal help in providing students training for manufacturing jobs.
