Gunfight In Redford Leaves Residents Trapped In Homes For Hours

REDFORD (WWJ) - Police are on the scene in a Redford Township neighborhood where police say a gun fight occurred Sunday morning on Dover & Virgil near Joy Road. Police say some people were hurt, but there are no life threatening injuries.

Gloria Zielinski lives in the neighborhood and was afraid to leave her home.

"Oh absolutely, absolutely because the ...we couldn't leave the house anyway because the police had the streets blocked off from the edge of the driveway," said Zielinski.

Redford Township Police says everything's secured and there were no evacuations.
