Springsteen Pays Homage To AC/DC [BLOG]

By: Mike Stone

Saturday was closing night for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s 3 night stop in Perth, Australia. As many know, western Australia became the home of the late Bon Scott, the lead singer of the legendary Aussie band AC/DC. In fact Scott was so beloved that a statue in his honor resides in Fremantle.

So what does Springsteen open the show with. That’s right the AC/DC classic “Highway To Hell”.

It definitely was not as good as the original, but with Springsteen and guitarists Tom Morello, Nils Lofgren, and Steven Van Zandt it certainly was pretty good.
