Macomb County Man Arrested For Indecent Exposure

HARRISON TOWNSHIP (WWJ) – A Harrison Township man is behind bars after authorities say he exposed himself in public.

According to Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham, the “incident of gross indecency” occurred at around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Members of the Macomb Area Computer Enforcement Team (M.A.C.E.) met with 42 year-old Charles Vandewinkle man at “a pre-arranged location” where undercover officers “observed him exposing his genitals and performing a sexual act upon himself.”

He was immediately arrested and taken to the Macomb County Jail.

Vandewinkle has been charged with Aggravated Indecent Exposure, Computer to Commit a Crime, and Possession of Analogues (illegal possession of prescription drugs).

Officials did not immediately released any further details, including where the alleged incident took place or how, exactly, the meeting was arranged.

Vandewinkle was arraigned Thursday before Magistrate Goulette of the 41B District Court in Clinton Township. Bond was set at $10,000.

An investigation is ongoing.
