CBS DETROIT – Aside from his pitching prowess, Detroit Tigers ace Justin Verlander is known for his car collection — and sometimes the girl on his arm.

On the car front, the situation just got even more impressive.

Between dating supermodel Kate Upton and recently receiving his new supercar, it appears to have been a rather successful off-season for Verlander following his solid performances in the 2013 playoffs.

Verlander had a much less consistent regular season than usual last year, finishing with a marginally good 3.46 ERA. In the postseason, however, Verlander turned in several stellar games, recording an ERA of 0.00 in his two American League Division Series starts and an ERA of 0.39 in his American League Championship Series start.

What do you think? Is this ride too arrogant, even for an ace who wears burgundy pants while courting a swimsuit supermodel — or is it just right for Verlander?

The Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster retails at more than $400,000 and puts out 700 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque.
