Late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman apparently wanted to keep his children far away from Hollywood. That's according to the actor's will which was drawn up in 2004. Hoffman apparently requested that his son (his only one at the time) be raised in Manhattan, for culture purposes.

It appears that Hoffman believed Hollywood to be a suitable city to raise a kid in.
