Charges Against 3 Men Involved In Carjacking, Murder Of CVS Security Guard

DETROIT (WWJ) - The three suspects in the shooting death of a store security guard were formally charged Friday afternoon.

The video arraignment took place before Magistrate Charles Anderson at the 36th District Court reports WWJ's Stephanie Davis.

Not guilty pleas were entered for the three defendants who are from Detroit.

Two of the defendants; Jeremy Jackson, 24, and Jamare Rucker, 20, are charged in the carjacking and felony murder of Courtney Meeks, a CVS security guard.

A third defendant, Ronnie Anderson-Williams, 26, was arraigned on carjacking charges.

During the arraignment the three stood side-by-side showing no emotion and only spoke to answer the magistrate when asked if they understood the charges.

Prosecutors allege that Jackson and Rucker were the ones who took part in the carjacking and shooting at the CVS Pharmacy and no bond was set for the two men.
