Suspect Arrested In Hit And Run Accident In Dearborn Heights
DEARBORN HEIGHTS (WWJ) - Police in Dearborn Heights say they have arrested a suspect in the Friday afternoon hit-and-run accident near Telegraph and Colgate that injured young three girls.
The three girls are ages 9, 7 and 4 -- and the 7-year-old is in critical condition.
The car was traveling southbound on Telegraph when it was hit. The driver that hit the car with the children did not stop at a stop sign.
Police say the children were buckled in seat belts, but not secured in child safety seats or booster seats as required by law.
